As you all know I went over to Afghanistan with the Chairman himself, Vince McMahon, Kofi Kingston and Nikki. I had such an amazing time! It sounds crazy I know, but it was such a life experience for me. The media here in the States shows us the negativity of every situation. I don’t know about you, but it’s hard not to have a bad taste in your mouth on war in the middle east. I’m so grateful that I had the honor to see with my own eyes how much good we are doing there.

To see and experience the building of bases; being built for Afghans to learn how to defend themselves. Watching our American Troops teach them to build and train their own military. Protecting the children from Taliban and my favorite was to see the huge coalition. I had the privilege of meeting Italian and Spanish soldiers as well. I flew in Black Hawks from base to base, checked out Apache jets and flew in C-130′s. I visited ruins and local little gift shops on base. Every meal I got to enjoy the company of Soldiers, hearing about their families and the things they miss in the States. I was able to tour around the bases and see every working section. I was blown away by all the different jobs! My favorite section was the K9 unit. Omg! The dogs were precious! They work so hard and are so smart. I was lucky enough to hold a hawk and see how important that animal is to our Air Force

.

This trip really humbled me……Not that i needed it, but it did It put a lot of things in perspective. All the little things I worry about seemed silly to think about over there. To have hundreds and thousands of Troops sacrificing their families, hobbies, enjoyments and time to keep us safe. I might have enjoyed the trip more than expected because I knew I was coming home in 9 days. The soldiers are there for 6 months to a year and I’m beyond impressed! I don’t know if I could do what they do, it truly says a lot about our fellow Americans volunteering to go.

It makes me feel good that I work for a company that appreciates the men and women who serve our country. I get real excited every year for Tribute to the Troops. To finally be able to give back to the people who give so much.

Make sure the next time you see a military soldier you thank them. Nikki and I always do. Granted men in uniforms are hot! But we always love showing our appreciation to all the men and women!

Thank you Troops.

Much love to all the men, women and dogs in Afghanistan…..you’re in my thoughts and prayers.

Xxoo,

Brie
