
The Miami-Dade Sports Commission, in partnership with WWE, announced The WrestleMania 28 On-Sale Celebration is 7-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at Bayfront Park, Miami. The event is free to the public. The On-Sale Celebration marks the official kick-off for WrestleMania 28 on April 1 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. Where WWE fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets beginning Nov. 5, those attending the On-Sale Celebration on Nov. 4 at Bayfront Park will have the first chance to buy tickets. The Celebration will feature appearances by WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, WWE Divas Kelly Kelly, Brie and Nikki Bella and Rosa, as well as WWE Hall of Famers Sgt. Slaughter and Jimmy Mouth of the South Hart. A wristband will be required for Mysterio with a 200 person limit. Talent subject to change. The event will also feature a special appearance by local radio host Enrique Santos from Mix 98.3 FM, as well as live music by the All-Star Band. This free evening of activities will also feature a Family Fun Zone with appearances by local team mascots and inflatable games. The Miami-Dade Sports Commission and MIA Biscayne will also be hosting a VIP Party before and after the event. Those, who acquire tickets for the VIP Party at MIA from 6-7 p.m., can buy their tickets for WrestleMania 28 in an exclusive setting as well as mingle with WWE’s divas, superstars and legends at MIA and later at the VIP Lounge at Bayfront Park. General admission tickets for the pre and after parties will be $40. VIP tickets are $100 which includes open bar at MIA Biscayne, access to the VIP areas during the pre and after parties as well as access to the VIP Lounge at Bayfront Park. “Major sporting events have always been an integral part of Miami-Dade County and the On-Sale Celebration on November 4th will be no exception,” Jose “Pepe” Diaz, Chairman of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission and Miami-Dade County Commissioner, said in a release. “The On-Sale Celebration is just the beginning of the excitement that will attract locals and visitors from around the world to Miami for what is expected to be the best WrestleMania ever.” Mike Sophia, Executive Director of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission, said: “Miami is all about bringing sports and entertainment together, and it is the Miami way to kick-off WrestleMania XXVIII with a big-time celebration. “This will be a great opportunity to connect our community and the WWE fans.” In the past four years, WrestleMania and the events surrounding it have generated more than $200 million in cumulative economic impact for the host cities. In April, WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta generated more than $62 million in economic impact for the region with 71,617 in attendance.
