This week I had a really special experience with Nature…..Thank goodness it wasn’t the horrible Earth Quake in Virginia….. All of you who experienced that, you were in my prayers! ….. I watched the movie Tree of Life, I know what your thinking, how does watching a movie relate to nature!??!!……but hear me out
Tree of Life was a very abstract movie. It relates the feeling and experience of life with nature. For example, how the different sounds, sights and smells remind us of a memory. I was watching thinking WOW how true is this! After seeing this movie Tuesday, I would experience a moment of what they spoke two days later.
So here comes Thursday….. And for the first time ever I visited the stunning Red Rock in Las Vegas. It was truly breathtaking!! What I didn’t know is the experience I was about to have…..
The minute I got out of the car I immediately felt the sun on my face. Then the wind picked up and I started feeling I was back in Arizona. The smell instantly took me back to my childhood. Running around with my siblings, riding horses with the neighborhood kids, going swimming on the blistering hot days, young make out sessions in the desert lol, and building the most impressive forts with Nikki! We swore that we could live an amazing life in those forts. Who knows maybe Nikki and I could have been Carpenters…could you imagine us building your house, ha, what a great sight
As I was admiring the Red in the mountains I started thinking how I took for granted the beautiful desert scenery. When I was a kid I thought it was ugly and dull…..but it’s sooo not, it’s gorgeous! What was I thinking!!! I guess I did take for granted the many colorful sunsets, the monsoon storms and the structure of the mountains.
Now as a grown women…..(don’t you love how I put it as if I’m sooo mature!) I see how my tree of life is forming….how the different elements of nature connect to the memories of my life…. When I smell pine trees and hear waves I remember my summers in Lake Tahoe, the way a cold still night brings sadness from the past or when I’m in a park and shut my eyes the laughter of the children remind me of dinners as kids with my cousins. I wonder in years to come what element of nature will connect me to wrestling. And when that day happens, I will make sure to tell you all about it.
Amazing how much we can enjoy Nature….all for free
Brie
Ps. I read a lot of your tweets and email post. I would love to see what nature element connects you to special memories.

Nikki Bella vs. Eve
Kelly Kelly accompanies Eve to the ring for this match up. Prior to the match, we hear from Beth Phoenix and Natalya who say they don’t want to be like Eve and Kelly Kelly, but what they do want the are not going to say.
The bell rings as Nikki sends Eve out to the floor where Brie helps her sister when the referee has his back turned. Back in the ring, Eve takes Nikki down with a side suplex and a clothesline, before hitting a standing moonsault for a near fall.
Eve heads to the top rope where Brie distracts Eve as Nikki trips up Eve and sends her crashing to the mat. Nikki isn’t able to follow up, though, as Eve quickly takes Nikki down and out with a neckbreaker for the pin fall.
Winner: Eve
After the match, Kelly Kelly comes in and takes out Brie as Beth Phoenix and Natalya come out on the stage and sarcastically applaud their match.

Hey Rockers and Rocketts-
This week we are going to let you in on our favorite pass time, Rock Shows!!! Nikki and I are HUGE Rock ‘n’ Roll lovers and we believe that rock ‘n’ roll lives through our souls!!!
When we were little tiny girls our Dad would blast GNR, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and his favorite KISS all the time. I guess that was the cool part about having a really young Dad, yes he was 19 yrs old when he had us. He got us hooked to that style of music and we have loved it ever since. When the long summers would come and it would be to hot to play outside, we would go through my Dad’s CDs and put on lip synced concerts. Our favorite was Aerosmith!!! Nikki and I would always perform for each other, lol!!! When we got a little older we started performing for my parent’s friends, wow, sooooo embarrassing!!! They must of thought we were NUTS!! We always loved to perform in front of people! When middle school came around we would beg my Dad to let us go to concerts, but the deal was that he had to chaperone until High School. We didn’t mind, as long as we could go!!! Since then we have been total Groupies, alright not quite that, but definite concert junkies
Brie- “Rock ‘n’ Roll was epic in the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s , that’s truly where legends were born. No bands today come close. I would do anything to live in those eras, but I probably would of been the biggest GROUPIE!! lol, not really, but it would of been amazing!!”
Nikki- “Nothin’ makes my soul feel better than The Rat Pack and Nina Simone! Even Marilyn Monroe’s music makes me feel more like a woman. And even The Rolling Stones make me want to roam the world dancing and laughing. I wish I was born in the 20′s or 30′s so I could have seen the start of Rock N Roll and all the legends made.”
After a crazy week in LA for SummerSlam we enjoyed going to see Motley Crue, Poison and New York Dolls….have to say New York Dolls were our favorite!!! Tomorrow we will be heading to the Sunset Strip Music Festival!!! We’ll be rocking out BELLA style!!!
